PURPOSE:


Support new capital projects from concept to completion, with an emphasis on automated part handling and "end of line" automation.



RESPONSIBILITIES:


* Use caution and support systems to assure safety event free facilities.

* Observe, respond and report any instance of equipment non-conformity, or significant threat of resulting non-conforming product.

* Successfully complete Primary Duties as outlined in 4.0 and associated training.

* Respond to any emergency or potential emergency following established procedures.

* Security diligence, including maintaining control of key cards, preventing unauthorized entry to Berry facilities by non-Berry employees, and proper maintenance / security of Berry equipment and information.

* Pause activities and notify Safety lead in any facility regarding instances of potentially unsafe work environment or employee practices.

* Initiate action to prevent occurrences of any non-conformity of product or quality systems.

* Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.

* Suggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes, or systems and verify the implementation of solutions.



* PRIMARY DUTIES, including but not limited to:


* Manage Automation new product launches and / or R&D startups.

* Provide electrical / mechanical installation support and technical expertise during project commissioning.

* Provide technical support on current and future continuous improvement projects.

* Work unsupervised in the fabrication, set-up, and integration of automation equipment.

* Optimize performance of automated equipment, inspection equipment and robotic work-cells.

* Work with vendors on project requirements and establish equipment specifications.

* Collaborate on training instructions and standard operating procedures for use in equipment implementation.

* Train plant production and technical departments on the operations and maintenance of new equipment.

* Participate in all aspects of costs savings, continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.



* Adhere to all Berry Global, industry, and / or regulatory procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:


* High School Diploma or GED and some college in combination with relevant work experience

* Ability to work independently and with others

* Advanced troubleshooting skills
